Redman House Farm Stand

I patronize the Redman House Farm Stand/High Ground Organics in Watsonville. Their produce is always fresh and tasty, and beautiful.

This week, 6/23-6/27, they have some lovely vegies:

Strawberries, Cheddar cauliflower, romanesco, cilantro, Desiree red new potatoes (yum!!), savoy cabbage, green cabbage, romaine lettuce, broccoli, Bacon avocados, green butter lettuce, lacinato kale, fennel, mei quin choi, green onion, golden beets, Red Ace beets, Little Gem lettuce, carrots, gold…

Last time I was at the farm stand, I picked up some great Shiitake mushrooms, which I sauteed and ate with some sole filets purchased from Phil’s Fish Market at Moss Landing.

The Redman House farm stand also contributes donations to Loaves and Fishes, Watsonville’s Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen.

To get to the stand from the Monterey area, take Hwy. 1 to the Riverside Ave. exit, and turn left to Lee Rd. at the Chevron station. You’ll see the farm stand (near the old Redman house).
