dishcrawlin’ with jo boston

Just discovered a food blogger from my hometown of San Francisco. (Yes I was mostly raised in Santa Cruz, but still think of SF as home). Tracy Lee and Jo Boston would like to tell us about Dishcrawling in the Bay Area:

Hi there!

I’d love for you to come join us for one of our Filipino Dishcrawls!
We started these late last year to give Filipino food a platform to be
welcomed into the mainstream community. My partner in crime is
Filipino food blogger Joanne Boston of joanneboston.com.
Monthly, Jo Boston and I invite food lovers to a Filipino restaurant
where the chef there creates specialties coming from the heart. We’ve
already been to Attic Restaurant, Intramuros, Mercury Lounge, and The
WoW silog truck.

Next Wednesday (3/15) at 7pm, we’re holding our 5th Filipino Dishcrawl
at Sinugba in Daly City, the only Visayan restaurant in the Bay Area!
We’ll also be visited by Silvana’s for their specialty Filipino
desserts.

We’d love to be posted on your blog and any help in spreading the word
on our cause would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks much and hope to meet you soon.
Tracy

FILIPINO DISHCRAWLS PAY A VISIT TO DALY CITY’S VERY OWN SINUGBA
With the mission to give food lovers the opportunity to experience
Filipino food, the Filipino Dishcrawl series visits the only Visayan restaurant in the Bay.
San Francisco, CA – March 2, 2010 – Dishcrawl, the interactive website
dedicated to helping connect people with food brings their Filipino
Dishcrawl series to Sinugba in Daly City. Chef Gus Camacho welcomes
dishcrawlers to experience 6+ courses of Visayan cuisine for $35.
This Filipino Dishcrawl is the 5th in a series organized by Filipino
food evangelists Jo Boston and Tracy Lee. The Dishcrawl is scheduled
for March 16, 2010 in Daly City at 7 p.m. Food lovers can expect a
meat-centric meal and rich, traditional flavors.
“Chef Gus has promised us a taste of his famous “chickboy”, a house
special sisig made with chicken and pork belly!” says Dishcrawl
Founder Tracy Lee. “We’ve seen the artwork of many Filipino fusion
chefs, but are excited to get some downhome, traditional grub with
Chef Gus.”

Bridging the gap between food and community, Dishcrawl’s mission is
dedicated to enabling a rich and diverse food community in your city.
To attend this Dishcrawl, food lovers can reserve their tickets at
http://dishcrawl.com/sizzlingsinugba. This event is family friendly,
and open to all ages.
