Japanese History in Salinas Chinatown: Guest Curator Mae Sakasegawa, author of The Issei of the Salinas Valley: Japanese Pioneer Families has gathered the stories first hand from personal references, friends and neighbors. Through this exhibition, the Salinas Chinatown history continues to be told from the perspective of the Japanese community and the accounts of their history as Japanese Americans. Beginning this Friday, April 29 (for members), July 17 (non-members), Steinbeck Center in Salinas.
