Last year I posted briefly about California tea and tea growers (there aren’t many). Just following that up with a link to an article I just found about Roy Fong. Author of The Great Teas of China and owner of the Imperial Tea Court, Fong grows his own tea on land north of Berkeley. It hasn’t been entirely successful for him, but he’s finding ways to deal with the high-alkali water source of the area.
